I just LOVE me some California! You can go anytime of year and have an amazing time. I am in love with the San Francisco Bay Area, but I have a thing for sun and palm trees. LA LA Land is the spot for just that! I have visited L.A. a few times, and each time I have a different experience. I like to sightsee when I travel. Each place I visit has something cool and different to offer.
Check out some of my favorite looks from the past couple of days.
I had the chance to interview an inspiring Entrepreneur who is also one of my best friends. She established The Heart of Appreciation, LLC which is an organization with a goal “to help people of all ages and genders have a consistent healthy lifestyle mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.” Antoinette “Toni” Jackson is a woman of many hats. She is a life coach, educator, fitness instructor, wardrobe consultant and a woman of GOD. Her faith illuminates and is the core of her drive and The Heart of Appreciation. Toni delivers to her clients and audiences daily devotionals and empowering videos that remind you of how important, loved and special YOU are no matter what others may think of you. The Heart of Appreciate, LLC is an organization that gives back to help enrich the community and help individuals to truly love themselves.
Of course lately I have A LOT of time on my hands. Either with job searching, networking and enjoying my new surroundings. I LOVE going to Seattle and exploring and just being in the city. I don’t have the luxury of being only 15mins from a major city like I did back in MD (Downtown DC was only 15mins away), but I don’t mind the drive to Seattle. I always make it an all day outing when I go to the city. Since I am new there are tons to do and see. I still have A LOT of things and places to go to and check off my list.
This was my first time attending the ballet and I loved it!
Still a little hurt it wasn’t my COWBOYS who made it to the SuperBowl, but it was a great win for the Seattle Seahawks. Their first SuperBowl win ever! Looks like I moved here at the right time. The city was crazy with hardcore fans. I went down to the city to check out the parade and I even got a glimpse of the trophy. It was a nice and orderly celebration for the team and the 12th man, the FANS.
I know I can’t be the only person who feels like they are celebrating someone’s birthday like EVERY month. SO, I decided to get a little creative in my gift giving. I did this gift bag during the holiday season because I’m not too big on wrapping gifts when people are just going to rip it open anyway (for adults rather). This is a great idea to show someone how special they are not just for what inside but that you took the time to do a little something extra 😉
Hey ya’ll! What better way to start the new year than with a new DIY project! YAY!!! Yes the winter is still going strong (stronger in so areas more than others) but spring is just around the corner. I have been seeing this idea all over Pinterest and what a great idea to welcome in your Spring Blooms! Don’t limit yourself to just flowers. You can grow your own fresh herbs or use them for storage. Don’t forget to have some chalk handy so you can write labels or cute doodles! 🙂
I have been gradually working on my fall and winter wardrobe. I have been able to pick up some very nice essential pieces and some trendy accessories at wonderful prices (I love sales and online promo codes! 🙂 You will see from my look book that my style changes just like the forecast. I love to layer up for the colder months for a cute and cozy look.
I absolutely love wearing flats and lately loafers have been my favorite! I like wearing heels too but I’m a chill laid back kind of gal. So I’m more than likely in a cute pair of flats. I’m on the hunt for some new loafers to add to my shoe collection (especially a leopard pair since my old ones are well…..OLD)
