I know I can’t be the only person who feels like they are celebrating someone’s birthday like EVERY month. SO, I decided to get a little creative in my gift giving. I did this gift bag during the holiday season because I’m not too big on wrapping gifts when people are just going to rip it open anyway (for adults rather). This is a great idea to show someone how special they are not just for what inside but that you took the time to do a little something extra 😉
You Will Need:
Paper Gift Bag (Dollar Stores)
Sponge Paint Brush (any shape)
Start by measuring the lace ribbon across the top of the paper bag. Take it from one edge to the other and cut off the access and glue it down with Mod Podge. Repeat this step on the other side.
Then, take your sponge paint brush and dip it in some Mod Podge and randomly press your shape all over the bag.
Here comes the fun part! Sprinkle glitter over each shape space. Make sure you don’t see any of the glue. Pack that glitter on nice and thick. Then go ahead and shake off the access. I did one color at a time for my colorblocked gift bag. Once it dries, repeat on the other side of the bag.
Here is what your finished bag should look like (or probably better since I was in a hurry doing mine hehehee)
Feel free to add a little extra sparkle to the sides if you wish. Slap on that Mod Podge, sprinkle on the glitter and there ya go!
